INSTANTSELECT

This policy explains what information the instantSelect browser extension handles. instantSelect is made by Rayyan Burondkar, an individual trading as LoopBoard, of Dapoli, District Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, India ("LoopBoard", "we", "us"). 1. The short version

• instantSelect has no accounts, no analytics, no tracking and no crash reporting.
• The links you collect stay in your browser. We never receive them.
• The only internet requests the extension makes are license checks: with our payment provider, Dodo Payments, and with our own license server.
• Send to LoopBoard connects only to the LoopBoard app on your own computer (127.0.0.1). Your links never leave your device.
• We don't sell, rent or share your information for advertising or any other purpose.

2. What the extension stores on your device

instantSelect keeps the following in your browser's extension storage, on your device only. It is not synced and never sent to us:

• the links you collect, with the post type (reel, video or carousel), the creator's username when it's shown on the post, and the time you added it;
• your current multi-select selection;
• your settings (on/off, mode and options);
• your license key, this browser's activation ID, and the dates the license was last checked.

You can delete your list at any time with Clear list. Uninstalling the extension deletes everything it stored.

3. What the extension reads on Instagram

instantSelect runs only on instagram.com. On the page you're viewing it reads the addresses of post links and the size and position of posts, so it can place its buttons, and the creator's username shown on a post so your list is easier to read. It does not read your messages, account details, passwords, cookies or browsing history, and it runs on no other website.

4. License checks (the only internet requests)

instantSelect contacts Dodo Payments' license server (live.dodopayments.com) and our own license server (api.theloopboard.com, with a backup address, both hosted on Cloudflare):

As with any internet request, Dodo Payments and our server also receive your IP address. Our server keeps no logs. It stores only:

• an activation record: a scrambled (hashed) fingerprint of your license key, never the key itself, together with the activation ID of the browser currently holding the license. This is what makes "one browser at a time" work. It is deleted automatically 13 months after your last activation;
• temporary counters that limit moves (3 per license per day) and activations per network, stored under scrambled versions of your key and IP address, and deleted after 24 hours.

Nothing else is sent: not your links, not your Instagram activity, not your browsing.

Send to LoopBoard. When you click the Send to LoopBoard button, instantSelect sends your saved links to the LoopBoard desktop app on the same computer, over a local connection to 127.0.0.1. This connection never leaves your device and nothing is sent to us or anyone else. If LoopBoard isn't open, nothing is sent.

5. When you buy

Purchases are handled by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. Dodo Payments collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details to process the payment, prevent fraud and meet tax obligations, under its own privacy policy. We don't receive your full card or bank details.

We receive from Dodo Payments your name, email address, country, order details (including the amount you chose to pay) and license key status. We use them only to deliver and support your purchase, handle refunds, disable refunded or misused keys, and meet our legal and tax obligations.

6. Why we use this information (legal bases)

• To provide what you bought (license checks, moving your license, support, refunds): this is necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To meet legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
• To prevent misuse of license keys: our legitimate interest in protecting our product.

7. How long we keep it

• Information on your device: until you clear it or uninstall the extension.
• Activation record on our server (scrambled key fingerprint and current activation ID): until 13 months after your last activation.
• Rate-limit counters on our server: 24 hours.
• Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
• Support emails and Discord messages you send us: up to 24 months.
• License activation records at Dodo Payments: for the life of your license, then under Dodo Payments' retention policy.

8. Who we share it with

Only Dodo Payments, to process payments and check license keys, and Cloudflare, which hosts our license server. We may also disclose information when the law requires it. We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't use it for advertising. If you contact us on Discord, Discord's own privacy policy applies to that platform.

9. Security

Your list never leaves your device. License checks and moves use encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to purchase records is limited to us.

10. Children

instantSelect is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the EU/UK GDPR, you can ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, or give it to you in a portable format. Email privacy@theloopboard.com. We aim to acknowledge requests within 5 working days and respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Information stored only in your browser is under your control: we can't see it, so to delete it, use Clear list or uninstall the extension.

12. Chrome Web Store disclosure

instantSelect's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide the extension's single purpose (collecting links to Instagram posts the user chooses so they can be copied) and to verify your license. It is never transferred for advertising, credit decisions or any unrelated purpose.

13. Changes

We'll update the date at the top when this policy changes, and note significant changes in the extension's store listing or on theloopboard.com.
